Affymetrix is pleased to announce the launch of the Affymetrix Learning Center, a new addition to the support section of affymetrix.com.
The Affymetrix Learning Center provides our customers with an engaging (multi-media) source of information that they may access individually or share with their colleagues. The Learning Center provides a scalable solution to deliver training and other types of content to our customers at the time the customer wants to receive it without intervention from Affymetrix resources. It allows us to deliver information to our customers in order to move them up the learning curve on specific topics while our resources focus on current priorities.

At the launch, the Learning Center contains the Expression Data Analysis Series of four related talks focusing on data analysis for expression microarray experiments. The series includes:
- A Conceptual View and Practical Considerations of Experimental Design
- Coming to Grips with the PLIER Algorithm
- Statistical Tools and Data Visualization
- Biological Interpretation of Microarray Data
The learning center may be accessed directly from the affymetrix.com home page or from the support page. The content of the Learning Center will continue to expand over time to include a wider range of Affymetrix products and applications. Updates and new content announcements will appear in future issues of our Affymetrix newsletters. The initial postings are targeted to beginning level GeneChip® microarray users.
